Know Your Table is led by Aaliyah Payne, a special education professional with experience supporting students with disabilities across multiple educational settings. Her background includes special education instruction, educational leadership, IEP development and implementation, educational record analysis, compliance, multidisciplinary collaboration, and family advocacy.

Aaliyah has worked alongside families, educators, related service providers, and campus administrators to support students with a wide range of educational needs. Her work focuses on helping families understand the special education process, interpret educational records, prepare for ARD and IEP meetings, and participate as informed, confident members of the educational team.

She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching in Early Childhood Special Education and is certified in Special Education (EC–12) in Texas and Special Education General Curriculum (P–12) in Georgia. She is a Doctoral Candidate in Educational Administration (K-12 Leadership), where her research focuses on the relationship between educational leadership, family engagement , and educational outcomes for students with disabilities. Her approach combines professional experience, research-informed practices, and a commitment to ethical, student-centered advocacy.
